It’s been a whirlwind few days. On Tuesday, December 17th, we saw the condo for the first time. We decided to put in an offer that night. By Thursday, December 19th, we had received a counter offer. We had until 5 pm on Saturday, December 21st to accept or continue to negotiate.
But you knew all that!
Counter Offers and Condos
Well, we’ve made it.
We got our very first counter offer.
After more than a year of searching and putting offers in (not fervently, but earnestly indeed), Sohrab and I have finally received our first counter offer – on a condo in Canyon Country. This past Tuesday, December 17, we went with our agent, Jamal, to see a few places in the area. We saw five places and then decided to stop for the day when we couldn’t find parking for one of the condos anywhere except for in a nearby liquor store parking lot.
Our Engagement
It was our four-year anniversary on July 8, 2013. A Monday. Sohrab had convinced me to take a few days off from work to take a trip down to San Diego to celebrate. We would be staying at a hotel near SeaWorld, spending our days relaxing on the beach. We took Ellie, my MINI, to Gladstone’s in Malibu for lunch to stick with our tradition of dining there every year. Sohrab had a Corona – since I was driving I didn’t give it much thought. We enjoyed our meal, took some pictures as documentation, and went on our way to head south to San Diego.
Or so I thought.
